Who We Are
Here at Midland Community Church, we believe that every person is valuable and loved by God. Since our founding in 2017 as a church plant of Christ Community Church, we have been determined to make an impact in our community by helping people realize that truth. The core of our efforts is to serve and love our community one person at a time and bring the love of Jesus to all that we meet. Through all of our efforts we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.
We would love for you to come learn more about our mission, our vision, and how we go about being the changes we want to see.
What we believe
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory. (God the Son) Matthew 1:22-23 & Hebrews 4:14-15
We believe in the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling every Christian is made aware of sin and empowered to live a Godly life. (God the Holy Spirit) John 16:7-14
We believe sin separated humankind from God and left humanity in a fallen sinful condition. (The Fall of Humanity) Romans 3:23
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the only sufficient payment for their sin. (Salvation) Hebrews 9:22, John 3:16, John 14:6, Romans 10:9 & 1 Timothy 2:3-6
We believe baptism is a celebration and act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in Jesus Christ. Christ Community Church and its covenant members practice baptism by immersion and believe it to be the most consistent with scriptural teachings. It provides a powerful testimony of death to self and a resurrection to a new life in Christ. (Baptism) Matthew 3:13-17, Mark 1:9-11, Luke 3:21-22, John 3:23, Acts 8:35-39, Romans 6:3-5, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Colossians 2:12
We believe in the resurrection of both those who believe in Jesus and those who do not believe: those believing to eternal life with Christ and those unbelieving to eternal punishment in hell. (The Final Judgment) Romans 6:23
